This inside painted bottle, made out of one piece of crystal, depicts a Chinese lady lighting a candle during Mid-Autumn. It is a custom to hang a lantern in the clan between the 13th and 15th day of the New Year if a child/boy was born the previous year. The act of adding a lantern is a pun for “adding a son” to the family. The artist, Huang Deli, is a pupil of Master painter Li Kechang. He was born 1967 in Boshan, Shandong Provence and was a Lu school student. Real size: 7 x 3.5 cm
