This lively painted snuff bottle depicts a winter scene with three small deer walking on a snowy path. The deer is a pun for ‘emolument’ or ‘official salary’. Since it can live for a long time, the deer is one of the symbols of longevity.  The artist, Ma Baoku, was a self-taught artist at first, but later took classes from painter Wang Qian. He was born 1971 in Tangxian County City.

Material options:
• Clear Plexiglass -> The photo is printed on a 4 mm thick aluminium plate and then covered with a 3 mm clear plexiglass.
• Fine Art Paper -> Is a gloss paper with a fine structure, reminiscent of Baryta. It is printed with 12 different colors and 3 shades of grey. The photo is pasted on an aluminium plate of 4 mm thick.
